Master Teaching Artist

For well over twenty years, Daniel has worked as a Master Teaching Artist with Roundabout Theatre Company, Broadway’s largest non-profit producing organization. The entirety of the classroom portion of this work has taken place in New York City’s most economically challenged schools. The diverse populations in these schools require every teacher to lead with inclusivity and cultural responsiveness, skills Daniel both possesses and regularly teaches to others. The predominant and groundbreaking teaching methodology running throughout his work is the Theatrical Teaching Framework, a style of teaching that posits every great lesson has the elements of a great play. Daniel is an expert in this methodology and offers regular Professional Development to instruct others in its implementation.
